The region is mainly known for its castles along the Loire (Chambord, Chenonceau, Ambroise...) and its cathedrals (Chartres, Orléans, Bourges...). All of them have been recognized as part of the world inheritance of the UNESCO. Many events and festivals are organized around the famous river such as "Jours de Loire" or "Festival de la Loire" at Orléans.

Culture and art are important parts of the region, they are represented by: the International Museum of Hunting and the Faïence from Gien, the music festival of Bourges, Orléans' Jazz...

The region has developed a real culinary art with many specialities : goat cheese, biscuits from Nançay, syrup from Bourges...

It is also very famous for its wines such as the Vouvray, Sancerre or Menetou-salon.

To end, the region benefits from an important sport activity: the basketball team from Bourges mainly (Wilo Intec is a sponsor of this team),  but also the football from Châteauroux, the volleyball from Tours...
